Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom property is situated at Rhandirmwyn, 7 miles from Llandovery and beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons. Set in gorgeous, mature gardens and welcoming four-legged friends, the charming retreat is a perfect option for anyone eager to spend time out and about in picturesque Wales.

Step inside to find yourselves in the beamed reception hall, which doubles as a dining area. From here, head into the elegant lounge to light the wood burner on chilly days and settle back on the plush comfortable furniture. Find a good film on TV, play games and chat about the adventures of the day.

Take a step up into the long kitchen, which has been cleverly designed to make catering for your party very easy. Rustle up meals, make fresh coffee and pull chilled bottles of wine from the fridge in here. A handy boot room and a family shower room are also at this level.

As night falls, wander up to the first floor to enjoy a great night's sleep. Here you will find two king-size bedrooms, plus a third bedroom or snug. This has a double sofa bed that can be made up if discussed ahead of time.

The family bathroom is also at this level. Make the most of the leafy gardens, which do slope steeply in parts, as often as you can. These really are a highlight of this Welsh holiday home and are ideal for spring and summer dining, as well as taking in the picturesque views.

Head off on walks or cycle rides from the doorstep or plan trips into Bannau Brycheiniog, with its many footpaths. Venture into Llandovery to see the remains of the 13th-century castle.
