The village boasts a local pub and a bakery nearby and also many countryside walks, perfect for a quiet Sunday stroll. Located close to the Somerset/Dorset border, you are within easy reach of the historic towns of Castle Cary 5 miles, Bruton and Sherborne with its famous castles.

Many day trips are within easy reach of the property such as, the National Trust site of Stourhead, The Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Hauser & Wirth art gallery, Glastonbury with its Tor, Clarks Village at Street and Longleat Safari Park. If you fancy a trip to the seaside slightly further afield you will find Brean, Weston-Super-Mare or Burnham-on-Sea on the Somerset coast or Lyme Regis, West Bay or Charmouth on the Dorset coast. A gastro pub called The Rose and Crown can be found at nearby Trent.

There is also the option to enjoy the owner's 4 acres of farmland, just a short stroll from the property, where you can meet the chickens, pigs and lambs.
