The perfect retreat for a group of six friends with a bathroom for every bedroom, walking routes from the doorstep, and close to the attractions of both Dorset and Somerset. This single-storey barn conversion has been lovingly developed into a charming holiday home and has open-plan, sociable living right at its heart.

The lounge/kitchen/diner is set beneath a vaulted ceiling, and large windows allow light to flood in. Cook up tasty meals in the kitchen area and sit together around the table to eat as you admire the far-reaching views. Get cosy on the lounge sofas and warm up in front of the roaring wood burner.

A handy utility room is also provided. All three bedrooms have doors that open onto the garden, so you can have breakfast in bed while the morning breeze flows in. One is a super-king-size room which can each be made up as twin rooms on request (in advance), featuring an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

One is a double with a Jack-and-Jill-style en-suite bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC. The third bedroom is a twin room, which again can be made up as a double on request, next to which is a bathroom with shower and WC. Outside, the garden has both a lawn and a patio, so you can dine alfresco and enjoy an evening tipple surrounded by countryside.

Guests can also benefit from ample private parking. Sitting on a farm on the edge of the village of Corton Denham, this property is surrounded by idyllic countryside. A charming country pub that serves up delicious meals is a 10 minute walk away, while further eateries and shops can be found in Sherborne (4 miles).

Take a trip to the quirky town of Glastonbury (18.5 miles) or visit one of the many National Trust properties in the area such as Stourhead (16 miles).
