The bedrooms include a king-size, a double with en-suite roll-top bath, basin and WC, and a twin, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with patio, lawn and furniture, and roadside parking.

WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. One well-behaved dog welcome, but sorry, no smoking. You will find a shop within 4.2 miles, and a pub within 0.1 miles.

The Old Shop is a lovely base for exploring Powys and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Note: Raised lawn area in garden, supervise children. Note: Sloping ceilings in first-floor bedrooms.
