It has two en-suite bedrooms, an enclosed patio and extensive shared gardens, and a cosy wood burner.

Step inside the welcoming lounge/diner with comfy sofas, a Smart TV/DVD, lots of light, wooden floors, and a dining table and chairs for four. The contemporary kitchen has everything you could need to self-cater and another seating area with a bench, seats, and a kitchen table.

Go upstairs to bed in the two bedrooms: a spacious super-king-size zip-and-link with an en-suite shower room and a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom – both rooms have exposed stone walls, hanging space, and plush soft furnishings. Head outside from the lounge to the sweet, enclosed patio where you can sit and enjoy drinks alfresco. Take a picnic to enjoy in the orchard, and potter around the rose garden.

Head to the coast at Whitby (21.5 miles) and Sandsend (24 miles), and visit Ravenscar (14.5 miles). Go to Pickering for a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (14 miles) and head out for walks from your doorstep around the forest and country lanes. Discover the walking and cycling trails, and Gruffalo adventures for the little ones at Dalby Forest (9 miles) and learn about World War II at Eden Camp Modern History Museum (20 miles).
