The cottage is a pet-friendly choice, encouraging endless dog walks as well throughout any long or short stay. With ancient beams and exposed brickwork, this single-storey cottage has been lovingly maintained to celebrate its original features. Make fantastic memories in the lounge where sofas are positioned around a TV/DVD player and a wood burner-effect fire and experience sociable evenings cooking, dining and drinking in the kitchen/diner next door.

Both bedrooms, a cosy double and a snug twin, are just off here, accompanied by a tiled shower room. Outside the property, a selection of garden spaces is shared with neighbouring properties on-site. Complete with a grassy lawn, a summerhouse and a firepit, you’re likely to find a spot for sunbathing in the last of the day’s sun out here.

In an undoubtedly rural position, the holiday home is 7 miles away from the lively town of Kirkby Stephen, easily accessed in the car or on a rewarding hike through scenic country roads. This pretty market town is a focal point of the Eden Valley, complete with the river running through and a spattering of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from. Outside of town, explore the historic ruins of Lammerside Castle (6 miles) and Pendragon Castle (7 miles) or the majestic beauty of the Smardale Gill Viaduct (8.5 miles).
