Within 6 miles, Par Sands is the classic Cornish golden sandy beach, with many activities to try out. Kayaking in the magical wildlife haven of the tidal Fowey River can be arranged from Lerryn or Golant, both within 6 miles. Drive 8 miles to Fowey at the river mouth, a must-visit seaside town nestling in its steep natural harbour – you may see the amazing sight of a large ship arriving, seemingly with only inches to spare, as you enjoy fish and chips at a welcoming waterside pub.
