Original stonework acts as an attractive design feature throughout this single-storey house, where feature brick walls, stone-flagged flooring and a handsome fireplace with a wood burner set inside can be admired. All the rooms flow into one another, with the lounge/diner sitting neatly beside the farmhouse-style kitchen to create a sociable space to rest and recharge at mealtimes and beyond. In the comfy lounge, sofas are positioned opposite the fire with a Smart TV also available for entertainment.

Step out into the courtyard garden to dip in the hot tub or catch the last of the day's sun whilst sitting outside. When day turns to night, choose from a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin room, served by a well-appointed wet room. Take a walk down a quiet country toad to the picturesque village of Hovingham (1.5 miles), a great place to embark on circular walking routes throughout the AONB Howardian Hills.

There's also a bakery and a pub offering any refreshments you need. Amid the ever-changing hilly landscape, head to Terrington (4 miles) and visit Yorkshire Lavender, a fabulous farm with workshops, events and a tearoom.
