This bolthole for two is in the harbour town of Porthmadog, on the edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). The property is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts, with a myriad of walking and cycling trails to explore both in the national park and on the breathtaking Llyn Peninsula. Nearby days out include the Italianate-style village of Portmeirion (2.5 miles) and Harlech Castle (9 miles).

The waterside lodge has been stylishly decorated and furnished, with a colour palette to complement the surrounding landscape. On entering the property, you will find a single bedroom/dressing room with a day bed and ample storage space. Heading along the hallway, you'll come to an inviting king-size bedroom with estuary views.

Completing this level is a contemporary shower room. Upstairs, discover a gorgeous lounge/kitchen/diner with sliding doors opening onto a glass-fronted balcony. To the rear of the room is a chic kitchen area for rustling up dinners for two, which you can share at the sweet dining table or outside on the balcony.

A sumptuous velvet sofa is perfectly positioned for admiring the far-reaching views, and there's also a Smart TV for enjoying movie nights together. Outside, dine alfresco and admire the beautiful views and local wildlife from the enclosed, decked balcony. Porthmadog is a bustling estuary town with a rich maritime history, which can be explored at the fascinating Maritime Museum.

The town has a great range of independent shops and eateries, as well as studios and galleries showcasing local talent. The town is a hub for narrow-gauge railway enthusiasts, and you can board the steam trains of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways to travel deep into Eryri National Park. For a day at the beach, Black Rock Sands is 3 miles away.
