This charming stone cottage retreat offers all the creature comforts of home in a tranquil rural setting. With characterful original features and a roaring wood burner, it’s the ideal base for a family to explore Snowdonia National Park. Store your coats and boots in the hallway, then proceed to the lounge/diner, featuring an inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, and stonework.

The galley kitchen is small but perfectly formed, with everything a holiday chef could need. You’ll also find a second fridge/freezer in the garage. A creative rock garden can be accessed from the kitchen.

After dinner, unwind on the sofas, watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV and light the wood burner for a cosy evening. Upstairs, the delightful double bedroom offers lovely views to wake up to. There’s also a cosy single bedroom.

A gleaming white family bathroom completes the internal layout. Outside, relax on the bench seating at the front of the property for morning coffee or use the table, chairs, and charcoal BBQ on the paved area near the garage for al fresco dining. Cyclists and canoe enthusiasts can make use of the lockable garage for their equipment.

Nestled in Snowdonia National Park, this year-round destination presents activities such as walking, climbing, fishing, boating, and cycling. The nearby hamlet of Gellilydan (0.5 miles) is where you’ll find the welcoming pub. You can also visit the famed Italianate village of Portmeirion (8 miles) with its architectural charm, tidal estuary, sub-tropical gardens, shops, and eateries.

Porthmadog (9 miles) awaits with its harbour, steam trains, dining options, and shops. Alternatively, head to Borth-y-Gest (10 miles), a picturesque coastal village. Explore numerous footpaths across hills with lakes, reservoirs, and historic ruins, or join the coastal path leading to beautiful sandy beaches.

Don’t miss Snowdon Mountain (18 miles) with its myriad of footpaths and cycle routes. For the less energetic, take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for spectacular views to remember.
