As well as a gorgeous sandy beach within 2 miles, you’ll have convenient access to vibrant local towns such as Nefyn, Pwllheli and Caernarfon (all around 10 miles), all offering a selection of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants for you to explore.

The cottage shares its location with the revered St Beuno’s parish church, a site believed to be the remnants of a Celtic monastery founded in the 7th century. Once you’ve walked up the garden path, step inside to discover a well-equipped galley kitchen where you can cook up holiday feasts. Then take the food into the dining room, a gorgeous space adorned with oak parquet floors and bathed in natural light.

Upstairs, you’ll have a cosy lounge area offering stunning garden and coastal views. After busy days spent in the Welsh sea air, you’ll appreciate sinking into the comfortable seating and switching on the Smart TV to watch a film. On sunny days, the country garden comes into its own, with its plants, shrubs, water feature and lawn.

A paved patio is on hand for al fresco dining and perhaps a fresh-air dinner cooked on the BBQ. There’s so much to offer nearby, including water sports, sea swimming, sailing, surfing and canoeing. For golf enthusiasts, you’ll find superb golf courses 10 and 12 miles away.

Keen for a historical afternoon? We recommend visiting Caernarfon Castle (10 miles) or drive down to Criccieth Castle (14.5 miles) on the south coast. A little further afield, the charming coastal towns of Porthmadog and Abersoch await (around 17.5 miles) for seaside adventures and more outstanding scenery.
