Set within a small complex of holiday properties and surrounded by fields and woodland, this dog-friendly cottage makes a wonderful base for a family holiday or a romantic getaway. Spend your days discovering Gower's beaches, birdwatching on the estuary or exploring the city of Swansea, then return here to relax in the garden and ease weary muscles in the shared hot tub.

From the moment you step into this single-storey cottage, you'll find a warmth and radiance that says you're home. Bright and cosy, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Rustle up meals in the bright and fresh kitchen, then settle around the dining table or head outside to dine alfresco on the patio.

Enjoy lazy afternoons lounging on sunbeds in the garden, and cosy evenings snuggled on the sofa, catching up with your favourite TV series, wood-burner-effect electric fire adding extra warmth. Two tastefully presented bedrooms – a double and a room with adult-sized bunk beds – offer a restful night's sleep. A family shower room completes the interior.

There's plenty to do without leaving the grounds, with three acres to exercise dogs on leads, and the utility room, hot tub, and outdoor games operating on a rota system between cottages. Head off on foot to walk part of the Wales Coast Path and observe birds and marine wildlife in the estuary. Or hop in your car to discover Gower's beautiful beaches, including Rhossili Bay (15 miles) and see the historic landmark, King Arthur's Stone (8 miles).
