If you can tear yourself away, the seaside town of Minehead (19.5 miles) makes a great day out, as does the medieval village of Dunster (16.5 miles), with its magnificent castle. Nestled in the valley, the detached property benefits from a peaceful and private location. The property is packed with luxurious touches to make your stay feel extra special and has a number of quirky design features and eclectic accessories to create a truly unique backdrop to your holiday.

At the heart of the home is the spectacular kitchen/diner. The huge space is designed with entertaining in mind, with plenty of room to prepare food and ample seating for everyone. On a warm day, throw open the bi-fold doors to make the garden feel like an extension of the house.

Outside, the 60 acres includes a patio area with furniture, BBQ, firepit, pitch and putt golf course and a hot tub with mesmerising views. Be aware that there is a stream and children will need supervising at all times. Dunster really does look like the scene of a fairy tale.

Quaint cottages and tiny shops line the cobbled streets, a puffing steam train trundles by and a magical castle looks down over the village – you can easily lose yourself for hours, wandering around and soaking up the history. In contrast, Minehead is bright and vibrant, with a bustling seafront and a colourful collection of seaside attractions. It is, however, equally charming and is particularly enchanting for children.
