Property Summary

This pretty farm building has been converted into a comfortable, modern property in an idyllic and remote location, perfect for a tranquil couples' break.

Explore the forest and farmland or simply bask in the sunshine and soak up the serenity when stay at this barn in South Wales with your loved one. Nestled on the fringes of Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as Brecon Beacons National Park, the one-bedroom hideaway sleeps just two guests, but also welcomes a canine companion with open paws. Let yourselves into the beautiful bolthole which is set on a working farm but enjoys its privacy. Make yourselves at home in the warm and welcoming lounge, with its exposed stonework and honey-coloured wood. Watch TV in here or read your books as you relax on the sofas, one of which can be transformed into a bed.

Wander through to the kitchen/diner to find it is well equipped with everything you might need during your stay to rustle up delicious dinners for two with the Welsh produce you have bought. Dine together in here or out in the garden. When you are ready to retire for the night, climb the stairs up to the first floor of the barn, where your king-size bedroom and its en-suite bathroom are located.

Indulge in a superb night's sleep before awaking to have morning coffee and breakfast out in the sunshine of your sizeable lawned garden. Stroll through the gorgeous grounds of 40-acre Craig-y-nos Country Park, 9 miles away, where the Victorian Craig-y-nos Castle is situated. Head 3 miles into Ystradgynlais to wander round a lovely park where historic mining ironworks can still be seen.

Have a day out to the vibrant city of Swansea, 15.5 miles away, with its many shopping areas, eateries and leisure facilities.
