Nestled in the foothills of Sugar Loaf Mountain in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, this charming hot tub lodge offers an idyllic countryside escape for a small family or couple with one canine companion. Wooden furnishings, a green, floral garden, plus thoughtful decor create a laid-back and traditional cottage feel. While away your time exploring the footpaths from your front door and discover nearby reservoirs, cosy country pubs and mountain hiking trails.

Make yourself at home in the bright and spacious lounge/diner with vaulted ceilings and original beams, wooden furnishings and red hues throughout. Sink into one of the sofas and start your day with a coffee while admiring the garden views through the glass patio doors. Behind the seating area is a wooden dining table where you can gather for special meals with your loved ones.

Walk through to the galley kitchen, where the bold and colourful tiling will catch your eye, and there is a coffee machine to use at your disposal. There is also a family shower room plus two bedrooms – a spacious double and a twin zip-and-link room. Outside, you can unwind in the hot tub in the garden while looking out across the 3.5 acres of grounds.

During your stay in the quiet Welsh village of Llangenny, in the daytime, you can stroll along the river and stop for a bite to eat at the local pub (less than 0.5 miles). Set off on a hiking adventure in the National Trust Sugarloaf and Usk Valley (6 miles) and soak up the views from the 1,955-foot ridge. History enthusiasts shouldn't miss a trip to the nearby Clydach Gorge (9 miles) and Crickhowell Castle ruins (2 miles).
