Stock up on supplies and keep them fresh in the two fridges, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle of daily shopping for eight people. Pick a soundtrack perfect for cooking to, using the iPod dock to turn up the volume, and while the food is in the double range oven, lay the table. Switch to more relaxing music while you eat, just through a wide doorway in the dining room.

Alternatively, if the sun is shining then light the BBQ, open the patio doors, and dine alfresco in the fresh air on the terrace.
