Spend wonderful days at Forbidden Corner exploring twisting pathways and hidden chambers, before returning to the cottage's patio to pour yourself a glass of something cool and wait for the stars to come out. As you step into the cottage you'll be welcomed by a wonderful, open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area that boasts elegant styling and state-of-the-art amenities. Take a moment to soak up the lovely decor, which features earthy colours highlighted by tranquil blues, before heading to the sleek kitchen area to whip up some dinner.

Gather everyone at the stylish dining table, or head outside to the garden, fire up the gas BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine in the garden, or head back to the lounge area to warm your toes by the glowing open fire. At the end of the day, retreat to one of the two beautifully styled bedrooms - a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room and a cosy king-size room.

To complete the layout, you'll find a relaxing, well-appointed bathroom. Spend a blissful day wandering through Jervaulx Abbey (7.5 miles), which includes the impressive remains of a church, chapter house, dormitory and refectory. The picturesque grounds are also a fabulous spot for a picnic.
