The lounge/diner leads to the kitchen through an arch so you can keep the chef company whilst relaxing on the large sofa in front of your favourite TV programme. Steps from the rear garden (and a nearby ramp) lead down to the promenade so you can stretch your legs before washing sandy toes in the contemporary bathroom where you can also enjoy a soak in the tub. Resting comes easy at this coastal bolthole where two double bedrooms invite you to drift off and dream amid calming tones. Head to Bacton Beach for a day in the sand and sea, though if you’re holidaying with your pup during summer months take note of restrictions and enjoy a walk on the Norfolk Coast Path instead.

Treat little ones to a trip to Cromer (11 miles) where there’s a traditional seaside theatre at the end of the famous pier and you can indulge in crab fresh from the day’s catch. BeWILDerwood (13 miles) is also a great place to take young guests and is close to the Norfolk Broads so you can spend the afternoon navigating the stunning waterways.
