Located in the owner's grounds, it sleeps two people in one bedroom and welcomes one canine companion, making it the ideal accommodation choice for couples who want to escape the city and explore the peaceful Kent and Sussex countryside. Step inside and you'll find yourself in a welcoming hallway that leads to a bright and airy living room/kitchen/diner.

The chic, compact kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a romantic meal for two. Eat in the intimate dining area or step outside, light up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco in the garden. The country views from the garden are simply fabulous.

After dinner, snuggle up on the sofa in the living area and catch up on your favourite TV shows before retiring to the lovely bedroom for a peaceful night's sleep. In the morning, peek out of the bedroom window and you'll be met with gorgeous country views. Take a romantic stroll around the wooded estate at Scotney Castle (2.5 miles).

There you'll find a wonderful garden with a view of a 14th-century moated castle and a Victorian country mansion. The central feature is the fairy-tale ruin of Old Scotney Castle, which sits on an island on a small lake. There's also a nice tearoom in a converted coach house.

Alternatively, take a trip to the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells (7.5 miles). There you can go shopping in the wonderfully classy Pantiles, enjoy lunch in a cool eatery, or take a tour of the area's wineries.
