Less than 100 metres from the ferry between East and West Cowes, this three-bedroom home allows friends or family to easily explore both coastal towns. Enjoy the lively eateries, bars and boutiques nearby then unwind in your courtyard-style garden – up to five pets can come too. Subtle nods to Cowes' nautical heritage flow throughout this welcoming holiday home.

Contemporary styling creates a cheerful setting for friends, family and faithful companions, starting in the lounge where a bay window, spacious corner sofa and TV evoke the comfort and convenience of home. Close by, the dining room has elbow space for everyone and similar on-trend styling. There's a tempting range of eateries in town, but the kitchen here has all the essentials for fuss-free self-catering.

Completing the ground floor, a small utility area leads to a lovely family bathroom. Head upstairs and you'll find three bedrooms – the first features a king-size bed, the second has twins and the third has a double bed. The garden to the rear of the property has a BBQ and a choice of lounge-style and dining furniture; fairy lights add atmosphere after-dark.

Cowes is a favourite among the sailing fraternity – expect to see some on-the-water action as you explore the seafront and riverside. Learn more about the sport with a visit to the Classic Boat Museum, which occupies sites in both East and West Cowes – the latter is just moments from your doorstep. Stroll 0.5 miles into town for a choice of fashionable shops and pet-friendly pubs.

Queen Victoria relished her holidays on the Isle of Wight – visit her summer residence, Osborne House (2 miles), or follow the Victoria's Island Trail which takes in some of the royal's most-loved landmarks, including Ventnor Botanic Garden (15 miles). Nearby Blackgang Chine is the UK's oldest family theme park.
