Step off the beaten track and into the holiday of your dreams – boasting one of the most breathtaking spots in the Welsh Marches, this stunning stone property comes with birdsong and unspoilt night skies as standard. Inside, it’s been sympathetically renovated to combine contemporary style with historic character. The main living space houses a sleek, fully equipped kitchen with a dining suite looking down onto the sitting room where a large wood burner will keep toes and paws toasty as you unwind with a movie on the Smart TV.

Upstairs, the large landing area has a day bed and leads to a spacious bedroom with a super-king size bed with far-reaching views over the rolling landscape that surrounds. The modern bathroom is conveniently close by – grab a book from the shelf and enjoy a story as you soak. Your living space extends outdoors, where there are landscaped gardens as well as two terraced areas, one with a table, chairs, and BBQ.

A further garden/lawn is shared with the adjacent cottage, which can be booked to accommodate a further four people and two well behaved pups. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the owner’s historic grounds and gardens. A beautiful spa room and sauna is close to the cottage, offering a range of massage therapies and beauty treatments; yoga, pilates or ballet lessons (arrange separately with owners).

Just a mile away, the village of Craswall sits on the Monnow River; explore the ruins of its 12th-century priory and visit the pet-friendly pub for a taste of local life.
