Pet friendly holiday cottage, sleeps 6 - Fairbourne, Gwynedd

This lovely property near the coastal village of Fairbourne (1 mile) in North Wales is ideal for families and friends looking for a peaceful holiday. Faibourne has a lovely long sandy beach, great for water sports, and a steam railway connecting with the ferry to Barmouth (check times). Nature lovers should take their wellies and head to explore RSPB Mawddach Valley, which has a wonderful variety of wildlife, including butterflies, birds, and reptiles to discover.

Walkers and cyclists can find trails, bridleways, and cycle routes along the pretty coast towards the Mawddach Estuary. Walk into this bright, contemporary, open-plan barn conversion and leave your cares at the door. To your right is a boot room to drop your coats and shoes, and to your left is the stylish kitchen area with everything you need to make meal preparation a breeze.

Next to the kitchen is a large dining table to gather around and relive the day's adventure. Unwind in the lounge, sink in the comfortable sofas, snuggle up with a good book, or watch a film on the Smart TV. The property offers three light and airy bedrooms - two doubles (one with an en suite shower room) and one twin room.

There is also a separate bathroom. Outside, relax in the hot tub or enjoy al fresco dining on the patio which has garden furniture and a BBQ. There are 250 acres of grounds with an equestrian centre to explore.

Visit Barmouth Beach (12.5 miles), southern Snowdonia's most popular beach but never seemingly overcrowded. There are plenty of walks to enjoy along the coast. For walkers who like a moderate challenge, head up into the hills to visit the Arthog Falls (2 miles) and Cregennan Lakes (3 miles).

Alternatively, the Coed y Brenin Forest (13.5 miles) has walking and cycling activities for all ages and abilities.
