Pet friendly cottage, sleeps 6 - Lyme Regis, Dorset

Seaview is just a short stroll from Lyme Regis’ vibrant town centre and beautiful seafront, and is a well-positioned coastal retreat offering comfort, space and far-reaching views across the town and along the Jurassic Coast towards Portland on a clear day. Entering via the hallway, the ground floor offers a sociable and practical layout. The sitting room provides a comfortable space to unwind, complete with a Smart TV, while the kitchen/diner sits at the heart of the home — well-equipped for relaxed meals and longer stays, with everything you need close to hand.

To the rear, a bright conservatory creates an additional living space, ideal for morning coffee or a quiet moment, with the added convenience of a cloakroom. Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms, arranged to suit families or small groups: a double room and two singles, all served by a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. The second floor is dedicated to the principal bedroom — a spacious king-size room with its own ensuite shower room and elevated views that really make the most of the coastal setting.

Outside, the rear garden is designed for ease and enjoyment, mainly laid to gravel with planted beds and steps leading up to a small patio area with a picnic bench — a lovely spot to sit and take in the surroundings after a day by the sea. An archway provides access to the allocated parking space for one car, a valuable addition in this popular seaside town. Lyme Regis itself offers something for everyone, from its family-friendly beaches, ideal for paddling and traditional seaside days, to the iconic Cobb harbour where you can join a fishing trip or take a boat ride along the Jurassic Coast.

The town is renowned for fossil hunting, with the beaches providing endless opportunities to discover ancient treasures, while the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium offers a hands-on experience for younger visitors. For days out beyond the town, the wider Dorset countryside is within easy reach. Why not head to Abbotsbury, a charming Dorset village, home to the famous Swannery and beautiful subtropical gardens — perfect for a relaxed day exploring.

Well located for both the beach and Lyme Regis’ many shops, cafés and restaurants, Seaview is ideally placed for those looking to enjoy everything this much-loved coastal destination has to offer.
