Take two steps up into this pretty terraced home to find yourself in the hall; then another step up to feel the warm embrace of the character-filled lounge. Stoke the wood burner in the stone inglenook fireplace and watch a film on the Smart TV, before preparing something tasty with fresh produce from the market in Bridport in your kitchen at the back of the cottage - dining together at the table.

Find your family bathroom and WC also at ground-floor level. Due to the age of the property, there are changes in level peppered throughout. As night falls, climb the winding cottage-style staircase up to your two charming bedrooms with their vaulted ceilings and low beams.

On warm days, carry breakfast, lunch or dinner up the steps to the seating area at the top of the garden or simply relax with a cup of tea after a long country walk. Head just over 3.5 miles to spectacular West Bay with its two beautiful beaches: picnic on East Beach against the backdrop of the sandstone cliffs or paddle in the quieter cove of West Beach. Walk along the harbour's Jurassic Pier with an ice cream or pull on your hiking boots and climb the coast path to the top of the cliffs.
