A beautiful mature orchard sits opposite the barn, a place to roam and recharge.

Exmoor National Park (10 miles) is home to an astonishing array of wildlife, its dramatic moors and woodland crisscrossed by umpteen footpaths and trails. Grab essentials and a pub lunch in Umberleigh (1 mile), or for something more substantial, the bustling towns of Barnstaple and South Molton (both 10 miles) have pannier markets. The Tarka Trail (10 miles) is always a hit with visiting walkers and cyclists, while the popular beaches at Woolacombe, Westward Ho!

and Croyde all lie within 20 miles of the barn.
