Draw the curtains wide in the open-plan living and dining space, letting the light flood into the fresh, bright room.

Enjoy eating breakfast or dinner with a remarkable view of Brixham Harbour, before retiring to the sofas to catch up on the SkyTV. A clean and contemporary kitchen is well-equipped to feed the family, and the property boasts a dishwasher, so you don't have to waste your precious holiday time washing up. Upstairs on the first and second floor, two double bedrooms and a twin provide comfortable sleeping space, and a ground-floor snug offers a TV and sofa bed for two extra guests.

To the rear, a private enclosed garden leads down to a public coastal footpath. At Shoalstone, head down to the seafront or go for a refreshing dip at the natural saltwater lido of Shoalstone Pool. Head 1 mile down the road into Brixham's town centre, where you can wander the shops and independent seafood restaurants or watch the fishing boats sail in and out of the working harbour.

For a more outdoorsy day out, explore the hiking trails at the Berry Head Nature Reserve, which boasts coastal walking routes, 400-million-year-old limestone cliffs and some of the Riviera's most amazing views.
