Conveniently located in a peaceful pocket of Keswick, this charming property is just a short walk from the town’s vibrant atmosphere and great choice of shops and eateries. Keswick is also home to an Art Deco cinema, a famous pencil museum and a leisure centre offering plenty to do on those rainy afternoons. Beyond the town lies beautiful Derwentwater, around which a memorable 8-mile lakeside stroll can be enjoyed.

Alternatively, hop on and off the regular launch service and alight at the various landing stages around the lake including Lodore, Brandlehow and Ashness Gate. Other nearby attractions include Honister Slate Mine, 9.5 miles away, and Castlerigg Stone Circle, just 2 miles away. Inside, this Georgian property has been tastefully modernised to offer stylish accommodation featuring soft pastel tones, oak flooring and original sash windows and shutters.

Cook and dine in the sunny kitchen, which opens onto the patio garden to offer an al fresco feel. The kitchen includes an electric Aga oven and gas hobs, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and round table to seat four. After long walks outside, fire up the wood burner and sink into the inviting sofas in the lounge to enjoy a relaxing evening of TV while younger guests choose from the selection of toys, games and books.

On the first floor, two bedrooms share a tiled bathroom with shower over the bath. At the front of the house the elegant master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a dressing table with views of the Whinlatter fells, while a cosy bunk bedroom overlooks the garden towards the church. Step outside from the kitchen to make the most of the sunshine in the smart patio garden, where you will find a table and chairs and a selection of pretty pot plants.

At the end of the garden is an outhouse, providing a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.
