The village of Braithwaite is idyllically positioned for discovering Lake District gems such as Bassenthwaite, Derwentwater and Whinlatter Forest Park.

Keswick lies just 2.5 miles away, providing adventures galore and more than a few eateries to choose from. Hunker down with steaming mugs of hot cocoa in the inviting lounge, curling up on the ample seating and stoking the fire for the ultimate comfort factor. There's a TV for family films, or why not head into the dining room and play a game of cards while your meal is cooking in the marvellous country cottage-style kitchen.

There's a handy utility room with fridge/freezer space and a downstairs WC too. Upstairs, the six bedrooms are divided between the first and second floors, all sharing the generous family bathroom and an additional bathroom on the second floor. Highlights include a bunk bedroom primed for sleepovers, and one of the rooms features its own en-suite.

Completing the property is the second lounge that doubles as a games room thanks to the TV/DVD, Nintendo Wii and table football. Just take care of reduced head height when navigating the second floor.
