A step leads up to the bright, fully equipped kitchen/diner with a handy central island/breakfast bar. Finally, the dining area sits beneath a feature glass ceiling, offering a fantastic light-filled space for sharing favourite family dishes.

Upstairs, you will have a choice of two gorgeous en-suite bedrooms, each with a Smart TV: there's a pretty super-king-size room and a lovely king-size room with a balcony offering sea views. From the dining area, large glass doors slide open, leading through to the cheerful enclosed garden. With feature planting, atmospheric lighting, outdoor furniture and space for storing canoes and bikes, the garden provides a fabulous spot for dining alfresco on a summer afternoon.

The vibrant Georgian town of Aberaeron has a wealth of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, with the River Aeron running into the harbour and out to sea. From nearby New Quay (8 miles) you can take a boat trip out into the bay to spot dolphins. Aberaeron sits along the Wales Coast Path, or you can head inland to explore the tranquil 18th-century estate of Llanerchaeron (3 miles).
