Dog friendly holiday cottage, sleeps 6 - Kinglassie, Central Scotland

Property Summary

A traditional farmhouse with conservatory and excellent views across open countryside. Adjoins an equestrian centre with large enclosed garden. Close to the Fife coastline.

This delightful 300-year-old farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering stunning views all around. Full of character and yet sympathetically modernized, it is the ideal base for a family seeking to enjoy the delights of the East Neuk of Fife. Inside, the décor has been carefully chosen to maintain the original charm of this lovely old farmhouse.

With an open fire, a scattering of antiques and beautiful large sash windows, it offers a characterful and welcoming home for your holiday. Entering through the porch of this attractive property you come into the hallway, with its elegant grandfather clock standing proudly in the corner. From the hall, stroll into the light, spacious lounge, with its comfy sofas, cosy open fire and TV where you can relax as a family after a day out exploring.

Next to the lounge, there is a small library and sunroom – the ideal spot to sit and relax with a paper and a coffee. The smart kitchen with its stylish tongue-and-groove units and walnut worktop is sparkling clean and fully equipped for cooking up some holiday meals. The formal dining room next door is a lovely room for the family to get together over a meal, play cards or plan the day ahead over breakfast.

Also downstairs is a handy utility room and a family bathroom with a shower over bath. Heading up the stairs you will come to the three lovely bedrooms – one bright, spacious double with stunning views, and two smart twin rooms, also with lovely countryside vistas. There is also a family shower room upstairs with WC.

Stepping outside, enjoy the fresh clean air and breathtaking views from the lovely expanse of lawn. Safely enclosed, the garden is ideal for children or a dog needing to let off steam. There is also secure storage for bikes or other sports equipment outside.
