Pet friendly holiday cottage, sleeps 2 - Edzell, Central Scotland

This charming stone-built cottage near the pretty village of Edzell is the perfect bijou retreat for a couple seeking a romantic break close to the coast yet within easy reach of the southern tip of the Cairngorms. Inside, this recently refurbished, single-storey cottage is bright and cheerful, with colourful furnishings. The stylish slate floor in the lounge/dining room/kitchen creates a suitably cottagey feel and the carpeted bedroom is cosy and welcoming.

Walking up the three steps to the front door, you are welcomed into the cottage by the small hallway which leads into the warm and welcoming, open-plan lounge/kitchen diner. With a soft, colourful sofa and coordinating rug at one end, and a dining/kitchen area at the other, this comfortable living space has everything you need. Rustle up a romantic meal for two before cosying up on the sofa to watch a film in the evening.

The luxurious, king-size bedroom with its soft carpet and sumptuous bed linen ensures a blissful night’s sleep. In the morning, the sparkling en-suite bathroom has a superb walk-in shower to awaken your senses. Head into the kitchen for a cup of fresh coffee before heading out for the day.

Outside, there is a small bistro table for two. Sit and enjoy a drink together and admire the surrounding lush green gardens as you listen to the soothing sound of the nearby River North Esk.
