You'll be deep within the Brecon Beacons and surrounded by to-die-for scenery, which you can explore on foot, by bicycle or by car during your stay. This gorgeous holiday home has space for up to four guests over two bedrooms, with the neighbouring property also available for eight more guests, should you need it. It's a truly luxury dwelling where you're really encouraged to relax and enjoy yourself, with a separate shared barn filled with activities including pool, and of course the indulgent hot tub.

The kitchen has lovely wooden units, stone walls and an oak dining table for gathering around to eat. When you're tired from all that fresh air, relax in the homely lounge, where plush sofas surround a wood burner.

The sunlit conservatory is lovely for afternoon reading with a pot of tea to hand. Good weather? Pop out to the terrace and absorb some of that Welsh sunshine, and if it's really warm, plan a BBQ for fresh-air feasts.

This leads to a raised lawn garden where pets and children can play, and a hot tub against a backdrop of stunning vistas of the open countryside. From your secluded spot, you're ideally placed to explore the dramatic Black Mountains, perhaps heading to the gorgeous lake at Llyn y Fan Fach (9.5 miles) for a brief or longer walk. For a historical experience, head to Carreg Cennen Castle (4 miles), perched on a high rocky outcrop overlooking the River Cennen.

The charming market town of Llandeilo (6.5 miles) is ideal for shopping and dining out in, while the pretty Usk Reservoir (13 miles) is an excellent spot for a picnic with a view. The Dan Yr Ogof national showcaves (21 miles) are another fantastic option for a trip.
